Mission Status & Summary

CHEOPS was proposed for the first S-class mission from ESA in March 2012. Launched on December 18th, 2019 from Kourou on VS23, CHEOPS has started routine operations early April 2020. In-orbit commissioning is officially successful 25. March 2020
CHEOPS is launched from Kourou on VS23 18. December 2019
Arianespace confirmed the launch for the the 17th of December 2019. 01. February 2019
Currently the spacecraft is undergoing system qualification & acceptance review. 01. January 2019
By end 2018 all spacecraft environmental tests have been completed. 31. December 2018
In July 2018 the spacecraft thermal tests have been carried out. 30. June 2018
In May 2018 DLR delivered the Sensor Module for integration on the S/C 07. May 2018
On 11 April 2018 the flight instrument was delivered to the spacecraft in Madrid. 11. April 2018
In January 2018 the flight instrument calibration campaign stared. 26. January 2018
In November 2017 DLR delivered the Focal-Plane Module for integration to U-Bern 14. November 2017
In November 2017 the flight camera was received and aligned. 14. November 2017
In October 2017 the instrument was pre-calibrated with the EQM of the camera 25. October 2017
